December 2015 Graduates

Nursing Convocation will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 in the Waldner Performing Arts Center (WPAC). The ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm. All students are asked to arrive by 4:15 pm. Doors will open for family and friends at 4:00 pm. York College of Pennsylvania's Nursing Convocation is a treasured ceremony and celebration of your graduation from the program. Appropriate attire is to be worn along with your regalia. It is mandatory that regalia be worn for the ceremony, but should not be worn for rehearsal. Caps may not be decorated in any way for the Convocation ceremony. Honor cords may be worn and the recommended shoe is a comfortable black shoe, no athletic shoes.

In order to participate in the Nursing Convocation, it is mandatory that you attend the Convocation rehearsal. Rehearsal for Convocation will be held Friday, December 18, 2015 in WPAC. Rehearsal will begin at 7:30 pm. Please arrive by 7:15 pm so that we may begin promptly at 7:30 pm. Please remember York College's professional standards and student code of conduct when attending rehearsal. While regalia is required for Convocation, it is not to be worn for rehearsal.

York College's Commencement will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. Information on the college's commencement ceremony can be found using the following link:

o the Graduating Class of December 2015:

Schintz Studio will be taking your graduation photographs from Thursday, August 27, 2015 through Thursday, October 1, 2015. Please call them as soon as possible to schedule your appointment so that the composite can be completed by the deadline. Information and order forms will be in your mailboxes when the semester begins.

For the photos to be taken, you must follow the York College Nursing Student Uniform Policy (white uniform, NO NURSING CAP, hair off collar and away from face,small post earrings, no necklaces).

There is a sitting fee for the photo. If you wish to purchase pictures, Schintz has provided an order sheet (will be in your mailbox) you will need to bring with you on the day of your appointment. For your own photos, you may choose a different hairstyle, but for the composite photo, you must adhere to the school policy.  Please make sure bring a completed order form with you to your appointment at Schintz Studios.

The graduation composite is a department tradition and we encourage everyone to be photographed. Schintz will work with your class schedules! Please call today for an appointment!

RN Licensure - NCLEX RN Licensure - NCLEX

Attention all December 2015 Nursing Graduates

Please notify The Stabler Department of Nursing Administrative Assistant, Allison Malachosky (Diehl Hall Room 126; amalacho@ycp.edu) as soon as possible in which state you will be taking the NCLEX exam and applying for licensure.

The Stabler Department of Nursing will submit an official letter to that State Board, after commencement and degrees have been confirmed, indicating that you have completed the program. Please note that this letter will be sent only after the degrees have been conferred by the Records Office.

It is your responsibility to go online to the state you will be taking the exam in and request an application packet. All forms and requirements for each particular state will be your responsibility to complete or have completed by the appropriate individual.

*Please note that we will automatically complete the PA Education Verification form for those taking the NCLEX in Pennsylvania.

PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT ALL REQUIRED STATE BOARD FORMS THAT REQUIRE COMPLETION BY THE STABLE DEPARTMENT OF NURSING SHOULD BE TURNED IN AS SOON AS YOU HAVE THEM. ONCE DEGREES HAVE BEEN CONFERRED WE WILL THEN NOTIFY YOU WHEN YOUR FORMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP.
